Helene Josephides was a member of the Global Education Unit of Future Worlds Center since 2017. She was Project Coordinator for two projects: Global Education Goes Local (2017-2020) and MigratED (2018-2021). She was also project officer for Map Your Meal (2015-2017) and Supply Cha!nge (2015-2017). She also participates in the project The Long Way to Europe, representing Future Worlds Center who is a local partner to this project, with the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (Cyprus).

She is a jurist, specialised on International Law and International Human Rights. She studied Law at Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne in Paris (France) and did her Masters in the University of Toronto (Canada) and the Irish Centre of Human Rights in Galway (Ireland).

She has always been interested in Global Education. In 2014 she led a two years long personal initiative for the promotion of children rights through theatre and puppet theatre in Latin America, called On the road for childhood/En ruta por la infancia[1]. The project reached more than 15.000 children across 15 countries in Latin America and focused on issues such as education, gender equality, and environmental protection[2]. She has also worked as a political officer for the European Union Delegation to Chile [3] and as an independent researcher for the EU Delegation to Guatemala and for the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights (Berlin, Germany)[4] Her interest for democracy and human rights also led her to participate to two election observation missions of the EU to Paraguay and Madagascar.

She speaks fluently Greek, French, English and Spanish. She is also a member of the theatre company Canicula Puppets[5].

Work in Future Worlds Center

As a member of Global Education Unit she was coordinating different projects and assisted in the implementation of other projects. She contributed to writing project proposals and tenders for calls under different funding schemes such as EuropAid, AMIF, REC, Interreg V-B and others.
