Georgina Siitta Achilleos

Georgina has been with the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute since February 2008. She has been working as a project's coordinator for the Cyberethics in Cyprus, since March 2008 contributing to the enhancement of awareness to teachers, parents and children on the correct use of the Internet and new technologies. She continued to coordinate this project throughout Cyberethics GII and Cyberethics GIII. She was an assistant Coordinator to the Local Authorities Cyprus project, were SDDs and interviews were contacted around Cyprus with partner organizations CIIM and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Georgina has also participated in many ICT projects in different positions executed by the New Media Lab of Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute such as CARDIAC, Identifeye and other projects coordinated by the New Media lab of Future Worlds Center. Throughout the years, Georgina has also been involved in writing grant applications for the organization and also worked as the liaison to the Head for many operational issues regarding the projects and the organization. She is a trained facilitator of structured dialogue (SDDSM) and has organized and participated in dozens of settings in several countries.
Short Biography
Georgina Siitta Achilleos has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, USA while being on the Deans list throughout her studies (2001-2004). She has also gained her KYSATS recognition at the University of Cyprus during 2006-2007. She has a great interest in the new technologies and the influence they have on the socio-psychological aspects of children and adults life but also to the societal evolution. Georgina also has a Higher diploma in Secretarial Studies from Frederick University, Cyprus (1998-2000).
Trained Facilitator & Mediator
Georgina is a trained Facilitator for the Structured Dialogic Design Process and has conducted co-laboratories using the SDD Process at a wide spectrum of topics ranging from peace reconciliation over possible risks to a project as well as technology transfer in accessible and assistive ICT products and services to cooperation between civil society and local authorities in many projects including CyberEthics, CARDIAC and Local Authorities Cyprus.
