Pantelis Makris served as Member of the Board between 1999 and 2006. He also served as Member of the Advisory Board of Cyberethics: Cyprus Safer Internet Center between 2005-2008. He is currently Member of the Advisory Board for N.E.T.S. Board of Trustees.


Pantelis joined as a Senior Research Scientist in 1994, and led for many years the Special Education Unit, which pioneered in the development of screening/evaluation as well as treatment software-based tools for learning difficulties.

Pantelis retired as a Special Education Inspector employed by the Ministry of Education and Culture. He served as, member of the Multidisciplinary Committee for the Assessment of Special Needs Children, President of the Information and Communication Technology Committee at the Ministry of Education, Project Manager for various European and non European projects (e.g., ARION, COST, UNOPS, IPE) and Coordinator of Information and Communication Technology use for Children with Mental Retardation integrated in Secondary and Higher Education.

Mr. Makris is credited for the creation of The Dyslexia Group, which he headed for several years.
