Relation to the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute (CNTI)
Partners with the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute (CNTI) in the R&I PEERS project.
The National agency for the promotion of scientific research has the status of a scientific and technological public establishment (EPST), enjoying financial and administrative autonomy. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Scientific Research. Its primary mission is providing services to assist the research public structures in the areas of the Valorization of research, to accompany the emergence of the Tunisian National Innovation System through three major "trades" and to professionalize the management of research activities in partnership with the effective national and international socio-economic actors, In this perspective, ANPR plays a crucial role in assisting research actors in the field of the execution of R&I projects and exploitation of its results, through three core businesses:
- Support for programs and research projects;
- Support for interfacing structures;
- Provision of services to facilitate the national and international partnership and the Transfer under the Public Private Partnership.
According to a systemic approach, ANPR intervenes in:
- Research structures, to develop their ability to execute and value R&D;
- National Innovation System, to help networking between stakeholders and boosting synergies;
- National and International environment, to make it conducive to innovation and investment in RD&I
The setting up of Technology Transfer Offices (i.e. ANPR-TTOs) aim to support valorization and technology transfer for the benefit of researchers, Higher education and research institutions, Research centers, Technology parks and poles of competitiveness.
ANPR’s functions facilitate running the network of national and international innovation system actors.
The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR) as a key actor of the National System of Research and Innovation in Tunisia plays the role of interface between the worlds of academic research and the world socio- economic, in other words between all actors of the Tunisian system of innovation. Therefore, it has a large and diverse network : sectoral and horizontal ministeries, performing research organisations, researchers, research support staff, Innovation support structures (science parks, technology centers, Technology Transfer Offices…), innovation funding organizations (banks, agencies, business angels…), employers’ organizations (UTICA, CONECT…), large companies and SMEs, etc.
This diverse network allows to ANPR to reach all academic and professional stakeholders to achieve a well comprehensive collection of training needs.
With a rich experience in the techniques of diagnosis and evaluation, the ANPR will mobilize the appropriate requirements gathering tools. Questionnaires and surveys will be used in particular to identify training and capacity building adequates. ANPR set up the portal TUNISIA INNOVATION that provides a single entry and central to all the information on research, development and innovation in Tunisia. This portal will include disseminating questionnaires to a very wide and diverse public views its profile, its region and its genre. The regional dimension is very important in such studies, pilot ANPR just a set of Technology Transfer Offices on the entire national territory, which consolidates the completeness and quality of investigations lead.
