The two day “Managing Staff and Volunteers in Civil Society Organizations” workshop commenced on August 11, 2013 in Tel Aviv, Israel. As part of Civil Society Acts Beyond Borders, this workshop aimed to impart important and applicable skills to Israeli civil society actors. The first day’s agenda provided an overview of staff and volunteer management in a CSO setting, and taught participants valuable managerial skills. The subsequent day, events presented management skills through interactive exercises, cross-cultural dimensions to management, staff development techniques, and leadership skills. Like other Civil Society Acts Beyond Borders workshops, this event utilized hands on and interactive techniques to teach participants relevant skills.
